Coffee: sin or savior?

Coffee is a highly debated beverage. Civilizations have consumed coffee for thousands of years. Other than water, it may be the most consumed beverage in history. So is it good or bad?  In short, it is good, but you do have to be careful.

 

The Good:

Studies show that coffee drinkers live 5-7 years longer, have more sex, make more money, are more successful and have a better satisfaction with their life than non coffee drinkers. In addition, coffee before a workout has been show to increase the intensity of your workout, increase pain tolerance, and increase the duration of your workout.  Overall, the quality and benefits from your workout increase significantly. In addition, coffee is full of antioxidants which are particularly good for your liver. The result is that coffee give you a nice boost in energy, improves liver health, and increases your body’s ability to burn fat.

 

The Bad:

Coffee plants are one of the most sprayed produces on the planet. These insecticides neutralize the benefits of coffee’s antioxidant benefits. Sugar and milk also have antioxidant neutralizing effects.

 

Application:

Use organic coffee and have a few cups of coffee per day, preferably black and before your workout.
