Don’t forget the good fats!
Omega-3 and omega-9 fatty acids are anti-inflammatory fats and they are part of the basic building blocks for every cell. For these reasons they are helpful whether you goal is fitness, leaning down or putting on muscle. Together they will battle the inflammatory effects of exercise and improve your recoverability. In addition to eating grass-fed meats and wild fish daily (at minimum), also add olive oil or avocado to every meal.
After a particularly hard workout, adding some olive oil to your shake (or taking an extra dose of fish oil) can also be a great aid.
